DAY 2

AND THEN THERE WERE 6!

WHO WON?

In a "Too close to Call" finish on Saturday a tie for 5th place was ruled. This would mean 6 teams would return on Sunday to fish the first ever - Sudden Death Shark Challenge!

Team: BigSnook.com: Capt Chris Dewitt

Team: Navionics: Capt Ozzie Fischer

Team: Make it Rain Renegades: Capt Buddy Bennett

Team: Oh Yeah! Capt Chris Madden

Team: Shameless: Capt Mark Miller

Team: Bobby B: Capt Brandon Birch

Were announced as the final 6 at 11 PM Saturday Night.

Mark Wilson From Catch Um Bait and Tackle was standing by to take the bait orders from the teams, fuel, fresh tackle and as much rest as they could get was what they needed now because it was all on the line first thing in the morning!

As the six teams lined up at the starting position on Sunday Morning - one thing was on their mind. Get on some shark... text the hookups to the committee... send the live video to the waiting crowds at Shark Fest and most importantly... Be the first team to pass 15 feet of total shark landed and stop the game! That's right, the competition ends when any team verifies to the committee that they have caught and released 15 feet of shark in aggregate. Most figured 2, 3 or worst case 4 shark would be needed. The bigger the shark the closer to winning they would be! Long run? Short run? Big shark? Small Shark? It was all about strategy and it was all about to happen! Capt Jack, aboard the committee boat, provided by Everest Marine, gave the signal, the teams hammered their throttles and IT WAS ON!!!

Team by team, the texts came in, Team Navionics was first to send live video back for the jumbo-tron.

Fish-on... Fish off... As the hours passed The points began to add up.

At 2:07 PM Team BigSnook.com called in the landing of a 5 foot blacktip that put them at 16 feet. Then the confirmation images, then the story book ending... Team navionics was hooked up when notified that the competition was over... The rules clearly stated that they would have two minutes from notification to land and verify... Team Navionics landed their shark within the time bringing them to 12 feet in aggregate and securing their second place finish. Third place went to Team Oh Yeah.
