Ft Myers Beach... RESULTS...
Team Captiva Rod & Gun DID IT AGAIN!!!
This is year two for young angler Ben Tucker to take home the prize for the FIRST SHARK OF THE DAY!
Ben recieves a $500 Quickfuel certificate for gas delivered to the dock!
All day long anglers were subjected to the steady call of "Boat 26 hooked up....", "Boat 26 Captiva Rod & Gun confirmed release" and so forth...
There were many teams hooked up but only few confirmed catch and release of brought back.
At the end of the day:
Team: Superior Inerlocking Pavers took second place for bringing in a 7 foot Lemon Shark
Team: Captiva Rod & Gun cleaned house catching and releasing 7 shark for 800 points taking FIRST in Catch & Release
and BRINGING IN a 7 foot Bull Shark weighing just under 100lbs...
The Tucker Family is heading home to Indy for the second year in a row with a big check and big smiles
Congrats to Capt Burnsed for putting his clients on the SHARK!
The Sea Tow bonus check was left on the table this year because the qualifying team was not a Sea Tow Member. Sea Tow was gracious enough to award the Captain a one year free membership so next year if he THREEPEATS he will take home all the Doe!
The video of the event is done and being pressed as I type. Look for it in the mail late next week!
All raffle winners have been contacted and prizes are available at Capt Rob's or inthe Cigar Hut.
